Lauren Neese

Lauren Neese has worked at Landaas & Company four times since 1997. She keeps returning, though she never leaves.

Lauren’s first go-round was in the summer before entering college. She did some filing and back-office work. Following college, in 2001, she worked in production then became full-time receptionist.

Lauren kept working part-time remotely while she was in graduate school in upstate New York. After a brief hiatus, she was back for her third turn at Landaas & Company in 2007, when she and her husband moved to Milwaukee by way of Florida.

Lauren began her fourth tour at Landaas & Company following what she calls “an 11½-year maternity leave.” Even while away, Lauren says, she has kept pace with the firm through family. Her husband, Reuben, is chief information officer. Her stepfather is Bob Landaas.

“I think it’s my turn to come back and do work to keep the company doing what it’s always done: taking care of clients and allowing clients to provide for themselves and their families and support people they love,” Lauren says.

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Master of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at New Paltz. At both schools, she specialized in ceramics, which is very process-oriented and scientifically technical.

Her creative discipline helps Lauren in the office, she says, paying attention to order and detail, problem solving and thinking outside the box.

Lauren lives in Mequon with her husband, their son and daughter and three dogs. Among her interests, Lauren enjoys ceramics, roller derby, books, cooking and power tools.
