When Lauren Neese was earning her fine arts degree at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and her Master of Fine Arts at the State University of New York at New Paltz, she specialized in ceramics. Because creating it is critically process-oriented and technical, ceramics steeped Lauren in focusing on order and detail, problem solving and thinking outside the box.
“That discipline’s attention to detailed complexity helped prepare me for my position,” Lauren explains. “My day-to-day responsibilities include strategic planning, operations and compliance.”
Lauren first started at Landaas & Company as an intern in 1998. Amid her art studies and beyond, she returned to the firm four times, in various roles. The fourth time was the charm. She became a partner in 2019.
“I think it’s my turn to come back and do work to keep the company doing what it’s always done: Taking care of clients and allowing clients to provide for themselves and their families and support people they love,” Lauren says.
Lauren lives in Mequon with her husband, Reuben, their son and daughter and three dogs. Among Lauren’s interests are strengthening her artistic skills, hiking, kayaking, reading, golf and power tools.
