Jacob Sheaf

The Great Recession left a lasting impression on Jacob Sheaf. He observed families struggling against financial setbacks, and he resolved to do something about it.

“I got to see the stress that money can provide,” Jacob says. “And I’ve also seen the calmness when you’re in control of your finances, how much easier life can be.”

Upon graduating from Capital University, in Ohio, with degrees in finance and economics, Jacob worked at a nationwide financial company supporting investment advisors on retirement funds. He continued studying investments and accounting and went on to work directly with individual investors as a financial planner.

“I always knew I wanted to end up in an advising role,” Jacob says. “I can marry my numbers-oriented side with also being able to help people at the end of the day.”

Jacob grew up outside of Cincinnati. He and his wife, Clare, live in Brookfield with their daughter and Clare’s cat. A baseball pitcher in college, Jacob is learning to play golf. He also enjoys barbecuing, skiing and following sports. He’s a fan of the Cincinnati Reds, the New York Mets and Ohio State University.
