Ryan Baker

All it took was an introductory course in high school, and Ryan Baker knew he wanted to be an accountant. Ryan understood accounting.

“It just made sense to me, when everybody else around me was super confused,” Ryan remembers of that first accounting class. “I really like numbers. I really like the idea of everything balancing.”

Ryan took advanced accounting at his high school near Green Bay and then enrolled in the accounting program at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, through which he completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Ryan needed only one try to pass the exams to become a Certified Public Accountant.

After several years gaining a wide range of experience at a small, independent public accounting firm in Milwaukee, Ryan joined Landaas & Company to specialize his practice. He says Landaas & Company immediately felt like family to him.

“I was impressed by everybody I talked to here. People are so friendly,” Ryan says, “It’s really a familial atmosphere.”

Ryan and his wife, Ashley live in Muskego. They have two daughters and a son. A cross-country competitor in college, Ryan enjoys running. Among his outside activities is volunteering with the Salvation Army.
