“It’s so much more than just managing money,” Dave says. “Obviously, people want to grow and protect their assets. But they also want to talk to someone who knows what it’s like and what’s involved in getting Mom and Dad into the nursing home or working on their estate after they pass or what it takes to put kids through college. I’ve done all that.”
Dave came to Landaas & Company in pursuit of his passions for helping people and managing money. He previously helped grow and run his family’s printing company.
“To be successful in printing sales, I learned to understand our clients’ advertising needs and work with them to develop a thoughtful plan for accomplishing their goals,” Dave says. “That same process is what is needed here. You sit down with somebody, look at what they have and where they want to go and help them get there.”
Instead of helping businesses prosper, Dave is working with individuals and their families to assure their long-term success.
Dave provides his financial expertise beyond his clients, working with community organizations such as Ronald McDonald House Charities, Kinship Community Food Center and the Lutheran Home Foundation, where he serves as board chairman.
Dave has a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He and his wife, Kristi, live in Brookfield and have four children, three grandchildren and a West Highland white terrier named Murphy. Dave is active in his church, St. John Vianney. He enjoys woodworking, an occasional round of golf and spending time outdoors.
